Lesley Simms joined Rubinton and Associates in 2017 after 5½ years of service as an Assistant State Attorney for Broward County. Mrs. Simms began her legal career in Broward County as the Supervisor and Trainer for the Misdemeanor Trial Unit, where she quickly advanced to the ten-twenty-life unit and was tasked with prosecuting violent crimes ranging from aggravated assault to second-degree murder.
A passionate litigator, Lesley Simms gained extensive litigation experience during this time period and draws upon that experience to provide comprehensive litigation strategies from an issue-focused, trail-centric perspective that deliver optimal results for the client.
Mrs. Simms also possesses in-depth knowledge and experience evaluating various federal government contracts and related regulatory compliance issues attained from serving for four years as an IT Security Consultant/Export Regulations Coordinator for IBM Corporation.
Having personally tried over 35 jury trials, Mrs. Simms was offered the position of Partner in less than two years of joining the firm and brings a wealth of direct litigation expertise to Rubinton & Associates.
