Gamila Elmaadawy joined the firm in 2015 as an Associate after clerking for the firm for over a year. She received her Bachelor of Arts in international relations, summa cum laude, from Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida. Before pursuing law school, Gamila worked alongside a marine casualty investigator and forensic specialist while assessing marine insurance claims.

Gamila went on to obtain her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from St. Thomas University School of Law. Gamila graduated in the top 4 of her class, made Dean's List, and received seven book awards in the areas of Transnational Litigation, Evidence, Advanced Legal Writing, Business Associations, International Law, Contracts, and Criminal Law. Gamila also held the position of Senior Articles Editor for the St. Thomas Law Review. During law school, Gamila interned at the Florida Supreme Court, having been selected to the chambers of Justice R. Fred Lewis, where she reported to the Justice on petitions for discretionary review presented to the Court. Gamila also became a Certified Legal Intern for the State Attorney's Office for the 17th Judicial Circuit, Broward County, where she was appointed to the Domestic Violence Unit.

Gamila is fluent in Arabic and is a native of Southern Africa.
